Asus EZ Installer, which is an application that you can download and use completely free of charge on your computers, is a software that can be your remedy if you cannot see your hard disks (C:\, D:\ etc.) during the Windows 7 installation on your computer with an Asus motherboard and cannot select them for installation. When you buy a new generation Asus motherboard, after starting the Windows 7 installation process and installing the system drivers, you get the error A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing while determining the storage unit where Windows will be installed.

This error is due to SATA drivers compatible with your system not included in the original installation media of Windows 7. With Asus EZ Installer, you can create specially modified Windows 7 installation media for your computer with an Asus motherboard with these SATA drivers.

Asus EZ Installer basically converts the original Windows 7 media you have into a Windows 7 installation USB or Windows 7 ISO file. You can also burn the ISO file to a DVD and create your own Asus Windows 7 installation DVD.

The program is very simple to use. After downloading Asus EZ Installer and opening it with an archive manager like Winrar, run the file named xHCIWin7InstSln.exe in the archive file and start the program. In the first step of the installation, you specify your original Windows 7 installation media. In the second step, you choose the USB memory that you will create the new Windows 7 installation media compatible with your Asus motherboard, or you determine the location where the ISO image will be stored. After that, you complete the process and create your new installation media.

NOTE: With Asus EZ Installer, all data in the USB memory that you will create the installation media will be deleted. Therefore, we recommend that you back up your files.
