With Background defocus, one of Sonys special applications for Xperia users, you can bring the object you want to the forefront by applying boke effect to your photos. This application is very simple to use, which also offers options to adjust the blur level and the type of blur effect. Open the built-in camera of your Xperia phone and choose Background defocus as the camera mode. Tap the object you want to focus on in the viewfinder and select your photo by tapping the camera icon. You can adjust the blur effect as you wish by using the control options on the screen.

Note: For best results, focus from 15-45 cm away from the subject and make sure the background object is 5 meters away from the focus point.
