How to Speed Up BlueStacks?
BlueStacks comes with various performance improvements and bug fixes in each version, but there are also a few tweaks you can make to make your PC run faster and more efficient. Heres what you can do to speed up BlueStacks:
- Make sure virtualization is turned on: On your Windows 10 computer, click the Start button, then go to Settings - Update & Security - Recovery - Restart Now. Select Troubleshooter then Advanced options. Select UEFI Firmware Settings. Click Reboot to reboot the system and enter UEFI (BIOS). Once in BIOS, find Virtualization Technology and set it to Enable. To find out if your computer supports virtualization, you can download this tool if you are using a computer with an Intel processor, or this tool if you are using a computer with an AMD processor.
- Allocate more RAM and CPU cores to BlueStacks: Go to the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon in the side toolbar. Go to the Engine tab and under Performance increase the amount of memory (RAM) and the number of processor (CPU) cores. This will make BlueStacks run faster and with better performance.
- Change the power plan to high performance in Control Center: Under Control Center - Hardware and Sound - Power Options, set the plan to High Performance.
- Update your video card drivers: You can use the GeForce Experience program to download the latest NVIDIA video card drivers, and the AMD Radeon program to update the AMD video card driver.
- Close other programs that are consuming high RAM: Multiple programs can obviously run slow on BlueStacks at the same time. You can fix this problem by closing non-priority programs from Task Manager. In Task Manager, under Processes, detect applications that are consuming a lot of RAM and click End Task.
- Set your antivirus program: If your security program has an option for virtualization, enable it or temporarily disable real-time protection.
