Unfortunately, when you want to research what is in the folders on your computer, it is not possible to get a file list by using Windows own interface in any way. Especially when you need to generate reports and list the names of files in one file, you have to copy and paste the names of individual files.

Directory Listing program is a free and very small program prepared for this need. Basically, the program has a useful structure that displays the entire list of all files in any folder you specify, and then allows you to copy this list and paste it into a text file or Excel file.

All you have to do is open the program, select the folder, and then take the list and copy it to another location. I believe you will like the program prepared for the purpose.
