The God of War series, developed exclusively for PlayStation by Santa Monica, appeared on home consoles with four games and on hand consoles with two games. The series, about a very angry character named Kratos, killing the Ancient Greek gods one by one, became one of the most popular hack-and-slash games in the game world. While Kratos, who killed Zeus with God of War 3, put the end to the story, the beginning of the series was told with the game called God of War: Ascension, which was released after the third game.
