What is Zettelcastene? The Zettelkasten consists of many individual notes where ideas and other brief information are taken as they arise. Notes are hierarchically numbered so new notes can be added in the appropriate place and contain metadata allowing the note to be associated with the recipients notes. For example; Notes may contain tags that describe key aspects of the note and may reference other notes. The numbering metadata, format, and structure of notes may vary depending on the particular method used. Using this method makes it easy to take notes digitally.
