Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven was a successful mafia game that offered game lovers an incredible scenario and a technological structure that was ahead of its time. In Mafia 2, the sequel of this game, which is an action game played from a TPS, that is, from a 3rd person perspective, the story progresses during and after World War II. We manage our hero named Vito Scalleta in Mafia 2, where we started the game from the time the first game was finished. The son of a family that immigrated from Italy to America, Vito lived in poverty and under very bad conditions when he was a child. This poor quality of life pushed Vito into illegal ways of earning income in his youth. For this purpose, they organized robberies with Joe Barbara, his childhood friend and best friend; But in one of these robberies, while Joe was able to escape, Vito was caught by the police and went to prison. While Vito was in prison, World War II broke out and Vito escaped his sentence by joining the army.

While in the army, Vito comes to visit his home and family for a temporary time, and when he meets with Joe, he learns that Joe has joined the mafia. Later, Joe helps Vito end his military service and encourages him to join the mafia. Thus begins Vitos mafia career and we begin to witness a quality story.

Mafia 2 is a very successful game technologically. The game graphics are very high quality and reflect the atmosphere of the period very successfully. Although the story of the game progresses linearly, we have a wide open world in the game. Special attention has been paid to the tools we use in the game. Especially the dusting, snow effects and fragmentation effects on the cars look very realistic.

Mafia 2 dialogues and voiceovers are also very successful. The characters in the game have a solid place in the story and great care has been taken in the voices of these characters.

As the story progresses in Mafia 2, we come across different periods of America. While the vehicles used before the World War II, which we started the game with, were special vehicles for the 1930s, we can come across classic vehicles specific to the 1970s America in the later parts of the story.
