The story of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is about the period between the Lord of the Rings books and the Hobbit books. We take control of a hero named Talion in this alternative story arc that is not included in Tolkiens books. Talion is a soldier once in the army of Gondor, tasked with guarding the Black Gate of Mordor. But Talion and his family, who fell into the hands of Saurons armies during their mission, were horribly slaughtered. After this event, Talion was mysteriously resurrected from his dead body, and with his resurrection, Talion also gained ghostly superpowers. Now Talion will journey to the heart of Mordor to seek vengeance.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor has a gameplay similar to Ubisofts famous open world game series Assassins Creed. Dynamics such as climbing, moving on high platforms and stealth are very close to this series. The combat system is also reminiscent of Assassins Creed; but what makes the game different is Talions magical ghost powers.
