In Milkmaid of the Milky Way, an independent production, we witness the story of our heroine named Ruth. Ruth, who lives on her farm built at the foot of a mountain on the west coast of Norway, earns her living from the milk she gets from her cows. Every day, Ruth milks her cows and collects her milk, while her friends take it to the nearby city and sell it. Ruth, who lives alone, has a very difficult life as her dairy business is not going well and she is dealing with every job alone. At night, mysterious things happen to Ruth and her cows, so Ruth begins to question whether this is the life she wants.

One night, a giant golden ship descends from the sky to pick up Ruth and take her on a journey that will change her life. We learn the rest by playing the game.
