The application you install on your Android device determines your location by using GPS satellites, internet access IP and cellular broadcast information. In order to make the navigation process completely safe and accurate, the application starts to work thanks to the location notification you choose, in addition to determining your location. Calculates magnetic declination using algorithms and coefficients provided by the World Magnetic Model. Thanks to this calculation, it knows the difference angle between magnetic North and geographical North at your location and time. At the end of these processes, it shows you the direction of Qibla using the compass on your device.

Thanks to the database in the application, it is possible to learn the direction of Qibla by choosing your location, even if you cannot fix your location. The database includes all centers with a population higher than 15,000 people as of 2012. Another good thing about the ability to choose a location is that you can quickly select your location and find out the location of Qibla when your devices battery is about to run out. Additionally, when specifying a location, the application will show you the 5 closest settlements to make sure you choose the right place. Thanks to this feature, which we can see as a control mechanism, you eliminate the possibility of praying in the wrong direction.

Magnetic declination estimates made by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are included in the application. Since these predictions are valid until 2015, you need to update your application in 2015.
