In Royal Revolt, it all begins when a prince receives the news of his fathers death after enrolling in wizarding school. For this reason, when our prince, who had to leave his education halfway, returns to his kingdom, he witnesses that the kingdom is occupied by his treacherous relatives and divided among them. Our hero, who cannot accept the usurpation of his rightful lands, must now gather his own armies and take his lands back.

Royal Revolt offers us the opposite gameplay of tower defense games. In the game, we manage the side that attacks the castle instead of the forces to defend our castle, and we try to become the ruler of the whole kingdom by passing the levels. In each episode, we must train soldiers that will enable us to conquer the castles and confront the enemy soldiers, obstacles and defense mechanisms in front of us. In the game, besides knights using swords and shields, we can use units capable of ranged attacks, such as archers. Our hero, on the other hand, can change the course of the battle with his abilities such as healing or special attack spells.
