The Weather Channel is a Windows 8.1 application where you can learn the hourly and 10-day weather conditions of a city you are in or you want, and I think it is successful enough to be used as an alternative to the pre-installed MSN Weather application. The fact that the application, which has won my appreciation for its simple and understandable interface and its detailed weather report, is free and can be used in English, too.

If you have problems with the pre-installed weather application on tablets and computers above Windows 8.1 and are looking for an alternative, I would definitely recommend downloading The Weather Channel. In addition to seeing the 10-day forecast, you can see in detail how the weather will watch hour by hour. The notification feature of the application, where you can easily see the temperature, amount of rain, wind speed, humidity, pressure, even sunrise and sunset times at a glance, is also great. The instant notification feature, which is intended for us to take precautions against bad weather conditions, is very well thought out and works without any problems.

If you think that the data presented in the weather application, which can show the felt temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, is incorrect, you can give feedback. At that moment, you can take a picture of the weather with your Windows Phone device, and you can share it with application developers or with your friends.

Unlike its peers, The Weather Channel, which helps you plan your life by offering seasonal tools such as pollen count module and ski area finder, is not without its shortcomings. It can detect the current location incorrectly. Also, although the temperature and other values are understandable, the localization is very poor and definitely needs improvement. Apart from these, the fact that it contains advertisements -especially in the middle of the hourly weather notification- was not pleasant.
