In Wars of Empire, a real-time strategy game developed by Hermes Games, you initially take control of a palace in your empire with your king. As time passes, you develop your lands and assets with the right strategy. Basically, there are four resources: food, wood, gold and stone. You can earn these resources, which enable you to develop, by using production buildings.

Wars of Empire differs from other strategy games with its question section. By answering questions about any category you come across, value is obtained from the question piece type. With this value, it is expected that all improvements will be made in the game. Every building, unit and technology, even epoch jumping, depends on the value of the question answered. In other words, you can improve as much as your knowledge. In this context, both a strategy can be established and progress can be made with question and answer.

We see five periods in the game: the dark age, the feudal age, the imperial age, the reform age, and the modern age.
