Sony announced the Xperia Ear, a voice assistant or smart headset, in February 2016. The Xperia Ear application, which was developed as the auxiliary application of the headset, also offers you some features that will make your life easier. There is also a gyroscope and accelerometer in the headset, which tells you information such as weather, latest news, calendar notifications, messages, e-mails when you wear your headset. These are also used to let you know your location, whether you are asleep or on the go.

You can assign various functions to your head movements, thanks to the preferences you can customize. Xperia Ear understands what your gesture means and performs the necessary actions.

Xperia Ear app is supported on all devices with Android 4.4 and above. However, the following devices are excluded from this support;
