XPosed Framework allows you to replace an existing system without going through the hassle of installing a custom ROM. It is for rooted users only and there are numerous mods and settings that can be applied to your device, but be careful. I recommend making a full backup before using the Xposed Framework or its components.

Xposed is a framework for modules that can change the behavior and applications of the system without touching any APK. This is great because it means modules can run on different versions or even ROMs without any changes (as long as the original code doesnt change too much). It is also easy to retrieve. As all changes are made in memory, simply disable the module and reboot to get your original system back. There are many other advantages, but here is just one more: Multiple modules can make changes to the same part of the system or application. You have to make a decision with modified APKs. There is no way to combine them unless the author creates multiple APKs with different combinations.
