Minecraft Laucher is a downloader and launcher for Minecraft (Bedrock Edition), Minecraft Java Edition and Minecraft Dungeons for Windows. Minecraft game for Windows PC can be played on Windows 11 / 10, Minecraft Dungeons Windows 7 and above operating systems computers.

On the first login screen, you need to sign in with a pre-existing Minecraft account, Mojang Studios account, or your old Minecraft account. If you do not have an account, you must create a free Minecraft account. You can create a new account by clicking the link and log in from the Settings/Settings tab.

In the left corner you will see the News tab, a tab for each game, and Minecraft Laucher in the Settings tab. You can see your currently active account from the top left corner of Minecraft Launcher. If youre signed in with a Microsoft account, your Java version username is shown if you dont have an Xbox gamertag. Minecraft Laucher includes the game Minecraft for Windows. The main Play/Play section allows you to download and play Minecraft on the computer. You can play Minecraft Bedrock Edition by clicking the Play button.

If your PC is not connected to the internet, you can run the game in offline mode, but it must be downloaded initially to be able to play without internet. If using an unsupported device, youll see an alert with a link to a website with supported devices. If you are not logged into the account where you purchased the game, you will be directed to the Microsoft store to download the free demo version of the game instead of the Play button.

You have unlimited resources in Minecraft game. Youll push the limits of your imagination in creative mode, dig deep in survival mode, craft weapons and armor to fend off dangerous mobs. You can progress alone in the vast world of Minecraft or explore with your friends and fight for survival.

The Play section allows you to download and launch Minecraft Java Edition. It also lists the installation section on the left, your Java Edition username on the right, and information about the latest Minecraft game updates below. You can start playing the game by clicking the Play button. If your computer is not connected to the internet, you can run the game in offline mode, but if you have downloaded the installation files from the beginning, you can play without internet.

If you have not logged in with the account you purchased the game from, the Play button will not appear, instead a button will appear where you can download the free trial version of the game. Patch notes let you know whats new with the latest update to the game.

You can create and edit custom installations from the Installations section. Youll see buttons to sort and search installs, as well as checkboxes to enable installs with released versions, snapshots, and modded versions of the game. By default there are setups for the latest version and the latest screenshot. You can create and edit a new installation by clicking on the new installation. The Play button allows you to start the selected installation and you can see where the game is installed with the folder icon.

Minecraft Launcher lets you play even the oldest versions of the game with its backward compatibility feature. You can see the versions you can install and play in the installations section by selecting Show Java Edition past versions in the Minecraft Launcher settings tab. You may run into various bugs in older versions, I suggest you run it in a separate directory and backup the worlds. When you open past versions, you can play Minecraft beta and alpha versions as well as classic versions.

In the Skins section, you can see how you look in-game and change your appearance. Steve and Alex is the default skin. You can apply skins by clicking Use in the Skin library. Views can be edited, duplicated and deleted. The Steve and Alex skin can be duplicated, applied, but not deleted.

The Play section allows you to download the latest version of Minecraft Dungeons to your computer, you can start playing by clicking the Play button. You can see the screenshots of the game and access the news about Minecraft updates. You will be directed to purchase the Minecraft PC game separately.

You can access downloadable content for Minecraft Dungeons from the DLC tab. A search feature is available along with a filter option to narrow results when searching for DLC. Enable animations, disabled by default, disable hardware acceleration to avoid motion glitches.
